Which data collection options are right for you?
There isn't a universal answer, which is why Legiant works on a client by client basis to deploy any or all of the following:
Available for both Intranet (internal network) and Internet (available from anywhere a computer has an internet connection), ideal for organizations where employees have both the access and the knowledge to use existing networked computers. This method uses a web browser to provide not only data collection, but also Employee Self Service. By drawing upon the computer's functionality, an employee can see and do things that are not practical with a badge reader or terminals.

Traditionally used when employers want the same capabilities of the Web, but do not provide all employees with networked computers. Kiosks can be dedicated network computers or specialized Touch Screen terminals that employees share; and typically have the same functionality of the web collection method. |
Biometric readers are the industry standard for security and accuracy. Biometrics use one or more unique physical characteristics to verify identity. This method's popularity is heavily based on its ability to eradicate time fraud, and eliminate the risk of forgetting or compromising pin numbers, passwords, or badges.
Fingerprint and hand geometry are the preferred methods for Time and Attendance, but other technologies include voice, signature, facial geometry and iris or retinal scans. |
Badge Readers are the fast, easy, economical solution that maintain a high degree of functionality.
This method requires employees to carry an ID badge, and is commonly used in situations where employees do not have access to computers. Employees can use the badge reader for a variety of self-service tasks and almost no training is required. |
Perfect for tracking a mobile workforce. This technology uses any existing touch tone telephone, and has the ability to use the Caller ID (phone number) to validate an employee's location. |
One of the most flexible data collection options available. These devices are used at construction sites, on the manufacturing shop floor, and by route or delivery drivers. Employees can use everything from Bar Code Guns to Palm Pilots to Tablet PCs. |
The Legiant Construction Clock gives construction companies a powerful and portable remote time tracking solution using the industry’s most complete automated time and attendance solution available today. |
Real-time GPS data tracking combined with Legiant's robust time and attendance system provides the ultimate time tracking tool for companies with mobile employees. |
