Hand Punch GT-400 Next Generation

The Hand Punch was the first, most widely used biometric time collection device available, and is a preferred solution across all industries and work environments. The most advanced version of the Hand Punch technology is the GT-400 which includes a 1/4 VGA LCD screen allowing employees to view their timecards, benefit accruals, schedules and more while at the clock.

The biometric technology alleviates unnecessary labor expense by completely eliminating buddy punching. The employees hand is their card; therefore you will never have to pay for fraudulent hours or damaged/lost badges again.

Time and Attendance Functionality

Hand Punch GT-400 functionality rivals time collection terminals and has expandable memory to fit your needs. The HP GT-400 terminal can:

  • Allow employee to view and approve timecards and schedules, view benefit accruals, sick and vacation balances
  • Display and receive company messages
  • Restrict punching by schedule and eliminate early IN punches or unauthorized overtime punches
  • Serve as a security access control
  • Allow supervisor punch to look up, edit and delete previous employee transactions by date, time and employee number

100% Accurate

Two-dimensional hand geometry devices have been around since the 1970’s, but the technology behind the Hand Punch sets the industry standard for employee verification and payroll accuracy.

Hand Punches use three-dimensional hand geometry; there are never any fingerprints or palm prints taken. The Hand Punch analyzes more than 31,000 points and instantaneously records more than 90 separate measurements of an individual's hand including length, width, thickness and surface area. You can be confident that that the person using the device is really who they claim to be.

The Hand Punch is completely template based; each time an employee punches in or out, their template automatically updated. The terminal is perpetually “learning your hand,” thus allowing for changes due to weight gain or loss, aging, etc.

Rugged Durability

The Hand Punch is constructed of injection-molded plastic, which is pound for pound stronger than steel. The terminals have a silicone rubber keypad that creates a protective seal against the outside elements including dirt, dust or even a spilt cup of coffee. Hand Punch terminals have available enclosures that can protect them from hurricanes, tsunamis and blizzards.

The terminal comes with an advanced 1/4 VGA display screen giving you a clear picture under almost any lighting condition.

The Hand Biometric Reader comes with an internal Lithium battery that keeps your data safe even if the power is out for weeks at a time. The terminal’s internal Lithium battery not only holds the memory, but also keeps the time and calendar accurate. The optional internal battery backup will ensure all functions are 100% operational if power is removed.

BioCote Protection

The Hand Punch is the only hand reader with BioCote protection. BioCote uses silver technology which has no known bacterial resistance and will last the life of the hand reader. BioCote makes products anti-bacterial, reducing cross-contamination and inhibiting the growth of bacteria, mold and fungi. The BioCote coating is added into the platen during the manufacturing process, so it will never rub or leach off the product. RSI hand readers now come standard with this innovative technology to help keep your workforce healthy.
